In his seductive and prismatic paintings, Juan Gomez displays a new approach to his practice. Gomez's use of material allows him to further express his ever-oscillating linear figures. Unlike his previous work, with monochromatic dormant backgrounds, the female form now competes with the ground, vying for attention.

"The gesture and line are as important as the captured moments -- whether frenzied or calm, solipsistic or engaging, these drawings are mesmerizing." Devon Dikeou, of zingmagazine and the Dikeou Collection
